Antique Shop in Bruges

Antiques have been a part of our family for decades! Anthony Short Antiques first opened an antiques gallery 23 years ago in Antwerp and our family has been in the antiques trade for over 50 years in Knokke-Zoute, Belgium. In 2008 my family and I made the move to the UK, leaving my successful shop in Antwerp in order to embark on a whole new adventure in the charming town of Petworth.
 
It has been an amazing and fulfilling journey in Petworth, however, life is never lacking in surprises, exciting opportunities, twists and turns. The temptation of taking on a brand new challenge was persistent and, ultimately, too alluring to ignore. Going back to our roots felt like the natural path for this new chapter, which led to the opening of our second shop in the heart of Bruges, Belgium. Petworth gave us the wings to fly higher, but it is in Belgium where we have our roots set deep and with the opening of this location we are excited to expand on our growing legacy.

In Bruges we have a wonderful collection of period antiques and fine works of art along with a wonderful collection of contemporary paintings. As with the showroom in Petworth, our store in Bruges will also feature an equally wonderful variety of fine antiques from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. We appreciate that a vast selection of choices can often be overwhelming during the process of searching for the perfect antique, although we also know that the thrill of the hunt is exciting for many. However you may feel about antique shopping, we are always available to lend a helping hand and we assure you that a visit to our store will offer a great experience. We hold a much larger stock than is shown on this website so please contact us if you are looking for anything in particular.

Our gallery is located in a fantastic central location of Bruges right next to Burg Square, opposite the Town Hall and The Basilica of the Holy Blood.
