This handsome late 18th-century George III mahogany country house estates bookcase is a stunning example of Georgian craftsmanship and design. Its elegant proportions and rich, warm patina make it a captivating addition to any refined interior.
The bookcase features an inlaid moulded cornice above a glazed, two-door cabinet with shelved interiors, perfect for displaying cherished books or decorative objects. Below, a central cupboard is flanked by two sets of five graduated drawers, each fitted with attractive turned ebony knob handles.  These details highlight the meticulous attention to detail characteristic of the period. Raised on original shaped bracket feet, the bookcase is both visually appealing and structurally sound. Dating back to around 1780, this piece is a testament to exceptional craftsmanship and enduring style.
The measurements of the top part are 114cm high and the height of the base is 97cm.
