The substantial, well-shaped frame features a gently curved back and scrolled arms, all meticulously covered in the original brown leather. The chair's scrolling arms, sprung seat, and close-nailed brass stud detailing showcase the attention to detail characteristic of the period. It stands gracefully on cabriole front legs and rear splayed legs, adding to its classic aesthetic. The original leather displays a stunning, untouched colour and a rich patination that highlights its authenticity and charm. In superb condition with no damage or repairs, this armchair is not only a visually striking piece but also exceptionally comfortable. The chair seat height is 45cm. England circa 1835.
