Early 19th-century Regency Period Carved Rosewood Canterbury

An early 19th-century Regency period rosewood Canterbury, used as a magazine or newspaper stand. It features a striking X-shaped top with a trio of equal-sized compartments, each adorned with turned finials at the corners. Below the top, there is a central drawer with a pair of turned rosewood knob handles, all supported by four elegant turned legs that terminate on small brass castors. Made in England circa 1820.
