A very decorative 19th-century painted cast iron stick stand or umbrella stand featuring a typical Irish folk figure holding his shillelagh. The bottom of the stand has a lift-out drip tray with casting marks on the underside, and registration numbers on the back of the drip tray with "Ireland" embossed on the base. The quality and condition are both excellent, and the casting is first class.
