Late Georgian bleached oak with ebony inlay English country house bureau bookcase, circa 1800. The piece features a moulded cornice with inlay, above two fielded and inlaid panelled doors that open to reveal a white painted interior with adjustable shelves. The bureau fall is also inlaid and opens to unveil a fitted interior with various drawers, compartments, and a leather surface. A straight apron runs along the top, with two short oak-lined drawers and three long oak-lined graduated drawers below, adorned with brass plate handles. The piece stands on splayed bracket feet, showcasing great quality craftsmanship.
