A quality, early 19th-century George III period, well-figured mahogany three-tier cupboard whatnot. The square top is decorated with turned finials over three galleried solid mahogany shelves, supported by elegant ring turned columns, above a lockable cupboard with a fielded panel enclosing a shelved interior and raised on small turned legs. In good original condition and dating from 1800.
In terms of condition, this tall whatnot music stand is in excellent original state, boasting a rich patina on the solid mahogany, which speaks to its quality craftsmanship and the care it has received over the years. The figured mahogany exhibits a rich, warm patina, enhancing its visual appeal. This étagère or whatnot is not only a testament to exceptional Georgian craftsmanship but also a striking example of classic design, making it an ideal piece for any refined interior.
