19TH CENTURY CARVED ROSEWOOD MARBLE TOP CONSOLE TABLE, C1830

Stunning Quality 19th Century William IV Period Carved Rosewood Marble Top Console Table

This well-proportioned early 19th-century William IV console table is a stunning example of craftsmanship.  Its large rectangular top features a beautiful original beige/yellow veined marble, complemented by a wonderfully detailed hand-carved rosewood backsplash and foliated carved frieze.  Intricate fretwork adds to its elegance.
Supported by beautifully carved, tapering, bulbous reeded legs, the table boasts a serpentine concave base and a shaped mirrored back with carved surround mouldings.  The entire piece is raised on carved bun feet. High-quality figured rosewood is used throughout, resulting in a rich colour and patina. The table is in superb condition and can be used as a sideboard or serving table.
Whether you need a versatile table for serving or a sophisticated display piece, this table offers both beauty and functionality.
