A pair of late 18th century bleached oak Liègeois buffets or cabinets dating from circa 1790. Solid oak and richly decorated with the tendrils and rocaille carvings typical of the time and place. The city of Liège in Belgium, where this piece comes from, was especially famous since the 18th century for its furniture production. The special thing is that mostly solid oak was used, on which a masterful ornamentation / decoration was carved by hand. The buffet consists of 2 parts. Lower part with 2 drawers and a pair of doors enclosing a shelve. Showcase top, 3-sided glazed with chamfered and also glazed corners, glazed top part with 2 doors enclosing adjustable shelves.
