SOLD
Fine Early 20th-Century Edwardian Period Mahogany Marquetry Inlaid Shaped Oval Tray

A very elegant early 20th-century Edwardian period mahogany serving tray, a true testament to fine craftsmanship and elegance. Circa 1900, this tray features a Sheraton style design with a beautifully inlaid shaped oval form with a triple moulded edge, complete with carved brass handles that add a touch of sophistication.
The tray showcases flamed mahogany, with a stunning central motif of a large shell crafted from satinwood and tulipwood. This is surrounded by intricate designs of urns, swags, and tails, demonstrating the superb quality of the inlay work. The cast brass Rococo handles perfectly complement the tray’s shape and style, making it not only functional but also a decorative piece. With excellent colour and condition, this tray is a perfect addition to any collection.
