A fine quality antique Edwardian period marquetry inlaid occasional armchair. Made from solid mahogany, it features a curved rosewood and satinwood inlaid top back rail, above carved pierced fretwork to the back. The back connects to shaped arms raised on shaped supports, securing the back to the seat frame. The seat has been upholstered in a high-quality colored upholstery fabric with matching braiding, offering firm and very comfortable seating. The chair is raised on square straight legs at the front and sabre legs at the rear. It boasts a rich mahogany brown color with rosewood and satinwood inlay throughout.
