This good quality pair of French Louis XIII style faux rosewood country farmhouse bobbin armchairs dates from circa 1850. They are in good condition and ready for reupholstering.
The armchairs feature a prominent bobbin shaped top rail and square panel back with a bobbin shape framing and bell tunnels on the arms, flanked by two upright supports adorned with simple finials. The base of the chairs showcases beautifully turned bobbin legs connected by an H-stretcher, indicating a high standard of craftsmanship.
These armchairs would complement any home, particularly in the kitchen or dining room. They are not only functional but also a great investment, making them a wonderful addition to your decor. This set of country armchairs showcases stunning faux rosewood grain configurations and a warm colour, all in good original condition. Made in Normandy circa 1850, the seat height of the chairs is 47 cm.
