A stunning 19th-century figured walnut Davenport desk with a brass grill. It features a fall front with a tooled leather writing surface, which opens to reveal four small interior drawers with tiny turned handles. One side has a sliding ink tray, a brushing slide, and four graduated walnut drawers with wooden knob handles. The desk stands on bun feet with brass castors. Stamped by Edwards & Roberts, this magnificent piece is finished all the way around with spectacular figured walnut.
