A fine quality 19th-century English Victorian period saddle seat desk chair, constructed of solid mahogany with a brown upholstered backrest and armrests, circa 1880. The mahogany office chair features a curved, deep-buttoned padded backrest, secured to wraparound upholstered arms finished with hand-tacked brass studs, supported by two shaped back supports and two turned arm supports. This beautiful desk armchair sits on two turned front legs and a pair of back-splayed mahogany cabriole legs connected with a curved stretcher, terminating on the original solid porcelain castors. The office chair is extremely comfortable, with a seat height of 47.5 cm.
