A mid-19th-century, early Victorian period burr maple nursing chair. The burr maple foliate-carved frame features a leaf-carved cresting rail and an upholstered back set in high-quality material. The chair stands on beautifully foliate-carved cabriole-shaped legs terminating in brass castors. The wood and patina are stunning.
