An early 18th-century oak panelled mule chest with a good color and aged patina. It features a chamfered panelled front and sides, all raised on squat stile feet. The chest has a thick, planked lid with moulded edge detail, which lifts on iron strap hinges. Stiles, rails, and muntins are reinforced with visible pegs for strength. This antique mule chest has solid joints and construction, offering voluminous storage with great proportions. It exhibits a lovely warm color and patina.
