A lovely size early 18th-century oak dresser base with two drawers over geometric moulded detail. It boasts a moulded three-planked solid oak top and the front showcases geometric applied mouldings on the drawer fronts. The two large working drawers are butt jointed and oak lined, featuring their original turned oak knob drawer handles. The dresser is supported on turned baluster legs at the front and square block legs at the rear. Constructed of solid oak, including backboards, inset moulded side panels, and drawer linings, it retains its rich original oak color and patination. Originating from England, circa 1720.
