A stunning pair of columns or a pair of terracotta stands painted with an oriental scene on one and a Japanese scene with two cranes in a pond and water lilies on the other. French work, late 19th-early 20th centuries. These decorative columns were probably arranged in verandas or conservatories. Signed and dated on each column "Marguerite 1896" and "Marguerite 1900". Lack of gilding in the lower part on one of the two columns.
