A fine quality antique Edwardian period marquetry inlaid occasional armchair. Made from solid mahogany with a curved rosewood and satinwood inlaid top back rail, above carved pierced fretwork to the back. The back connects to shaped arms, raised on shaped supports, which secure the back to the seat frame and the seat has been upholstered in a quality coloured upholstery fabric, with matching braiding. The seat is firm and very comfortable to sit on. The chair is raised on square straight legs, and sabre legs to the rear. The armchair features a rich mahogany brown colour with rosewood and satinwood inlay all over.
