A stunning early 19th century, George III - Regency period solid mahogany secretaire bookcase. Well proportioned mahogany bookcase with astragal glazed 2-door cabinet over a fitted fall-front secretaire writing drawer with leather inset to top, above a pair of cupboards comprising 2 long and 4 short mahogany oak lined drawers with the original brass swan neck handles, all raised on a plinth base. The well fitted secretaire writing drawer with multiple interior drawers, leather inset top, pigeon holes and door. The glazed bookcase top fitted with 2 adjustable bookshelves. Superb quality piece of furniture dating from 1820. Original locks with working keys.
